Sports, fitness take centre stage at Nirma University
The Institute of Architecture and Planning, Nirma University (IAPNU) observed National Sports Day with activities promoting fitness, mental well-being and an active lifestyle. Organised under the Students' Welfare Board, the programme commemorated hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand and was held under the Fit India Movement with the theme "Khelega Bharat, Jeetega Bharat". Around 50 students took the Sports and Fitness Pledge. The programme was coordinated by sports faculty coordinators Prof. Ar. Biswanath Mudi and Prof. Nishant Kansagara.

Nirma Cup 2026: 400+ athletes from 18 universities compete

The Institute of Architecture and Planning, Nirma University (IAPNU) concluded its week-long intra-institute sports events with the grand KALP Sports Day. More than 150 students, faculty and staff competed across athletics (100 m to 1,500 m, shot put, relay) and cricket, football, volleyball and basketball tournaments, with five referees ensuring fair play.

IAPNU-led student initiative featured in City Bhaskar
Institutional feature on the Institute of Architecture and Planning, Nirma University (IAPNU) — Prof. Biswanath Mudi's home institute — carried in the Divya Bhaskar City Bhaskar edition.
IAPNU hosted NASA NEXUS-IAPNU 2026 under the aegis of the National Association of Students of Architecture (NASA), drawing around 80 students from institutes including SAL School of Architecture and Ganpat University. Built around the theme 'Connect | Collaborate | Create,' the event featured a hands-on bridge model workshop and an interactive Architectural Monopoly session to encourage teamwork and fresh design perspectives.

'NASA NEXUS 2026' organised at Nirma University
The Institute of Architecture and Planning, Nirma University hosted the 'NASA NEXUS-IAPNU 2026' programme, convened under the National Association of Students of Architecture. Moving beyond conventional pedagogy, the event promoted collaborative, experience-based learning under the theme 'Connect – Collaborate – Create'. Students engaged with a hands-on bridge-model-making workshop and an 'Architectural Monopoly' activity to explore strategy, teamwork and core architectural principles.
